RESEARCH AREAS
Areas of interest: Persian art history, history of Iran and Central Asia, Safavid, Zand and Qajar periods, historiography.
Main areas of research: Artistic and cultural exchange between Western Asia and Central/South-Eastern Europe (especially the lands of the Kingdom of Hungary and the Balkan Peninsula); court arts of late-Qajar Iran and the dissolution and modernisation of classical traditions; museum studies (cataloguing and collection history); architecture of Southern Iran and its Indian Ocean connections
