Between 5–12 May 2022, Zsuzsanna Csorba and Mónika Schönléber conducted a week-long research trip in Dublin at the Chester Beatty Library. A museum and research institute, Chester Beatty houses one of the largest Middle Eastern manuscript collections in Europe.
Our researchers studied Arabic manuscripts for their post-doctoral research; Zsuzsanna Csorba worked with medical texts, and Mónika Schönléber studied works on history. To facilitate a detailed description of the codices, our researchers could use the light-sheet of the Library. Additionally, the Curator and Conservator gave permission to utilise a Dino-Lite digital microscope to examine how the codices were made.
