On October 20, 2021, Dr Antal Babits, biblical researcher and theologian, and Prof. Dr István Karasszon, head of department (KRE HTK Old Testament Department), gave a lecture at the Avicenna Institute of Middle Eastern Studies, presenting the results of their project the “Old Testament Concordance”, headed by Dr Babits.

With the help of this online dictionary, the Old Testament’s vocabulary became easily researchable both in terms of the original words (either written in Hebrew or Aramaic characters) and their Hungarian equivalents. The Concordance also gives a quick overview of all the occurrences of the particular words. The target audience of the Old Testament Concordance is primarily those interested in the Bible who do not read Hebrew. However, as the Concordance was created according to scientific standards, it is also a valuable tool for researchers and university students.
