Three researchers of our Institute, Rozina Dombi, András Barati and István Lánczky, participated for the second time in the annual Tehran International Book Fair, one of the most important international cultural events in Iran, held between 3 and 13 May 2017. The book fair provided our colleagues with the opportunity to purchase text editions that are only available in Iran, which greatly enhance the profile of our library and are indispensable for Orientalists in Hungary. In addition, our researchers considered it important to acquire newly published secondary sources and dictionaries, and contacted a number of publishers. Our colleagues managed to purchase the 34-volume Fehrestegân-e noskhehâ-ye khaṭṭi-ye Irân series, the 30-volume journal of Farhang-e Irân-zamin, and numerous dictionaries and text editions published by the Farhangestân-e zabân-o adab-e Fârsi and the Asâṭir. The researchers visited the Shahid Behesti University and the Iranian Institute of Philosophy in order to establish and maintain productive relations with our Institute. Our colleagues were also able to conduct their own research, albeit briefly, at the Golestan Library and Archive, and the Majles Library.
