This book contains a translation of one of the most important works of religious Jews, completed with an afterword. In the afterword, the translator tries to help the reader to interpret the work, which still plays a prominent role in the life of religious Jews, in terms of its historical and cultural context. The author of the work (not coincidentally) originally wrote it in Arabic, so it was translated from Arabic and not Hebrew.
