Between February 23 and March 8, 2014, Dr Amal E. Marogy, former Director of Studies in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at King’s College, Cambridge and founder of the Aradin Charitable Trust, was a guest at our Institute.
Her mother tongue, besides Arabic, is Syrian, but her main area of research is Arabic Linguistics. She also founded the Cambridge Association of Linguists of Arabic language. Its biennial conferences became the premier forum for the study of Arabic linguistics. During her two-week-long stay in Budapest, she helped doctoral students studying Arabic linguistics and Eastern Christianity.
