The manuscript workshop titled „Paleographical Aspects of Islamic Manuscripts: Script and Calligraphy Styles and Usage” was jointly organized by the Berlin State Library (Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin) and the al-Furqān Islamic Heritage Foundation, and was held at the Berlin State Library from September 22 to 26, 2025. This year’s workshop, held as part of the „Scriptorium: Workshops on the study of Oriental manuscripts” series, focused on the paleographical aspects of manuscript study. The lectures and hands-on sessions were conducted by recognized experts in Arabic and Persian paleography. Two researchers from our institution, Eszter Csontos and Mónika Schönléber, participated in the training.
