On 30 and 31 May, 2024, the Catechetical Centre of Debrecen  hosted the Seventh Scriptorium Conference. The scientific forum was organised by the Diocese of Debrecen–Nyíregyháza, the National Catholic Collection Centre, and the Department of Classics of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University. The central theme of the meeting was manuscript research, with a special focus on manuscripts of the ecclesiastic realm.

The Avicenna Institute of Middle Eastern Studies was represented this year by Eszter Csontos with her presentation entitled “Investigating the provenance of a Budapest manuscript of Manṭiq al-ṭayr”
